What do you get?
A fully charged cart, delivered to where you are staying, and a charging cable so you can plug in overnight.
A full charge should get you about 55 miles. Nothing here is more than a few minutes away, so that covers a whole day of the boat ramp, lunch, a bait run and back with room left over. Plug in at night and you start every morning full.
That is what comes with every cart.
What can you add to your rental?
A few extras to make the weekend more fun. Add any of them when you book and we will have them ready at delivery:
- Yeti coolers, so the drinks stay cold on the river and you can leave your own at home.
- Giant Jenga, for the dock, the driveway, or wherever the crew lands.
- Cornhole boards, a full set to go with the cart.
Add any of them on the booking page. Some extras can also be rented on their own, with no cart, on the extras page: pick your dates, tell us where to deliver, and pay online. No rental agreement is needed for an extras-only rental.
Are the carts street legal?
Yes. Every cart we rent is a titled, registered, insured low-speed vehicle with a VIN and a plate, which means headlamps, turn signals, brake lights, mirrors, a windshield and seat belts.
The practical version: an LSV can use any road posted at 35 mph or less, and every road inside Welaka town limits is posted 35 mph or under, County Road 309 and 308B included. The whole town is open to you, day or night.

4-seater or 6-seater?
Four seats fit most groups and cost less. Six seats fit a family with gear, two couples, or a fishing party that refuses to make two trips.
| 4-seater | 6-seater | |
|---|---|---|
| Seats | 4 | 6 |
| Per day | $80 | $95 |
| 5 days | $400 | $475 |
| Room for coolers and rods | Enough | Comfortable |
| Best for | Couples, small families | Groups, gear, everybody at once |
One rule decides it: everybody rides in a seat. Nobody stands, nobody rides the back rail. If you have six people, book the six.

How does delivery work?
We drive the cart to where you are staying before your rental starts. We live in Welaka, so inside town limits that is a short trip and it is free. Outside town we trailer it out, which is why those bookings start with a phone call.
At the handoff we do four things:
- Check every driver's license and age
- Check every driver's proof of auto insurance
- Walk you around the cart, lights and belts and charging
- Go over where you can drive
Then we get out of your way. At the end of the rental we come pick it up. You never have to come to us.
Do you deliver outside Welaka?
Yes, by arrangement. Free delivery covers Welaka city limits. Outside that we deliver to Fruitland, Georgetown, Pomona Park, Crescent City, Palatka, East Palatka and St. Augustine. Call (386) 603-0295 first to confirm availability for your address, then book online.
Golf Cart Rental Delivery Areas covers each town.
Who can drive?
Anyone 21 or older with a valid driver license and proof of their own auto insurance, listed on the rental agreement. That applies to everyone who takes a turn at the wheel, not just whoever booked.
Florida requires the license. The age and the insurance are our rules. Bring all three for every driver, or that person watches somebody else drive all weekend.
What is the minimum rental, and the maximum?
Two days minimum on either cart. Twenty-eight days maximum. Most guests book a long weekend, and the 10% discount at seven days makes a full week cheaper per day than a weekend.
Weekend or Weekly: Which Golf Cart Rental Costs You Less does the math with real numbers.
How do I book?
Book online. You will need:
- Your dates
- Cart size
- The address where you are staying
- Names of everyone who plans to drive
Payment is in full at booking. We confirm the delivery window, then bring the cart out.

Book early for holiday weekends and through the winter season. We are a small fleet in a small town, and the good weekends go.
What if I need to cancel?
You can cancel up to 48 hours before your rental period begins with no cancellation fee and a full refund. Contact us to cancel. Inside that window we are not able to refund.
Weather is not an exception. Florida storms usually pass in under an hour, and we do not credit or refund washed-out days. If a forecast worries you, use the 48-hour window.
What are you responsible for?
The cart, while you have it. Damage past normal wear, keeping it on pavement and inside the area we agreed on, only letting listed drivers drive, and getting it back on time and charged.
Our carts carry the PIP and property damage liability coverage Florida requires of a low-speed vehicle. Your own auto insurance is a separate requirement and a separate policy. Do You Need Insurance to Rent a Golf Cart in Florida? explains how the two fit together.
What do people actually use them for?
Runs to the Welaka Boat Ramp with rods and a cooler. The bait run to Welaka Fish, Crab and Bait or Betcha Bass Bait Shack. Dinner at Shrimps 'R Us and More. A slow loop around town at dusk because the river looks good and the car feels like overkill.
