What areas do you deliver to?

We deliver free inside Welaka city limits, and we drive the cart to you. Outside town we deliver by arrangement to Fruitland, Georgetown, Pomona Park, Crescent City, Palatka, East Palatka and St. Augustine. Call (386) 603-0295 first to confirm availability for your address, then book online.

Who can drive the cart?

Every driver must be 21 or older, hold a valid driver license, show proof of their own auto insurance, and be listed on the rental agreement. That applies to everyone who takes a turn driving, not just the person who booked. We check all three at delivery.

Are the carts really street-legal?

Yes. Every cart we rent is a titled, registered and insured low-speed vehicle with a VIN and a plate. That means headlamps, turn signals, brake lights, mirrors, a windshield and seat belts, and it means you can drive on any road posted at 35 mph or less.

How does delivery work?

We bring the cart to where you are staying before your rental starts, fully charged and with a charging cable, walk you around it, check every driver's license, age and insurance, and go over where you can drive. Free inside Welaka city limits. We pick it up at the end.

What is the minimum rental?

Two days. That is the shortest booking we take, on either cart size, and most guests rent for a long weekend. If you are staying a week or longer, the 10% discount that kicks in at seven days makes the extra days cheap enough to be worth it.

How many people can ride?

Four in the 4-seater, six in the 6-seater, one person per seat. Florida's rules and our rental agreement both prohibit standing or riding on the back rail while the cart is moving. Everyone wears a seat belt. If you have six people, book the 6-seater.

How do I book?

Book online. Tell us your dates, your cart size and the address where you are staying, and payment is in full at booking. Every driver needs to be 21 or older with a license and their own auto insurance. Staying outside Welaka? Call (386) 603-0295 first to confirm availability.

Do you sell golf carts?

We rent. For sales, we refer you to Mad Dog Premium Carts, our partner for buying and financing a cart of your own. Tell us what you are looking for and we will point you in the right direction. Renting first is a good way to figure out what you actually want.

Do you perform golf cart service?

We maintain our own rental fleet and refer service work to Mad Dog Premium Carts. If you own a cart in the Welaka area and need repairs or maintenance, they handle it. Our carts are inspected before every rental, so a problem during your booking is on us to fix.

Do I need a driver's license to rent a golf cart in Welaka?

Yes. Florida requires anyone operating a street-legal low-speed vehicle to carry a valid driver license, and we also require every driver to be 21 or older and show proof of their own auto insurance. An out-of-state license works. An expired one does not.

Do I need my own insurance to rent a golf cart in Florida?

Yes. Every driver shows proof of their own auto insurance at delivery, alongside a valid license. Separately, Florida requires the vehicle itself to carry PIP and property damage liability at $10,000 each, and that coverage is ours as the owner. Two different policies, two different jobs.

Can I drive the cart on County Road 309?

Yes, inside town. Every road within Welaka town limits is posted under 35 mph, and a street-legal LSV may use any road posted at 35 or less. Outside town limits the posted speeds climb, and an LSV cannot travel along a road above 35. Cross at an intersection instead.

Can I drive the cart after dark?

Yes. Our carts carry headlamps, taillamps, brake lights and turn signals as standard low-speed vehicle equipment, which is what Florida requires for night operation. Ordinary golf carts face tighter sunrise-to-sunset limits. The roads here get dark and narrow, so slow down after sundown.

Do you deliver outside Welaka city limits, and is there a fee?

Yes, by arrangement. Free delivery covers Welaka city limits only. We also deliver to Fruitland, Georgetown, Pomona Park, Crescent City, Palatka, East Palatka and St. Augustine. Call (386) 603-0295 first and we will confirm availability, what it costs and when. Then book online.

Are seat belts required, and can kids ride?

Seat belts are required equipment on a low-speed vehicle and everyone wears one. Kids ride in seats, never standing, never on the back rail. Child restraint rules that apply in a car apply here. Anyone driving must be 21 or older. Tell us ages when you book.

What happens if it rains during my golf cart rental?

The carts have roofs and windshields, not doors, so a hard rain means you wait it out. Florida afternoon storms usually pass in under an hour. We do not credit or refund washed-out days. If the forecast worries you, cancel at least 48 hours ahead for a full refund.

Can I haul fishing gear or a cooler?

Yes. Rods, a cooler, a bait bucket and a bag of ice all fit, and the run to the boat ramp is why most of our guests rent in the first place. The 6-seater gives you more room to load. Everything rides secured, nothing rides on a lap.

How long can I rent a golf cart for?

Two days minimum, 28 days maximum. Seven days or more takes 10% off. Snowbirds and long-stay guests usually book by the month, and the 28-day cap is there so we can keep the fleet maintained and available through the season.

What is included with a golf cart rental?

A fully charged cart delivered to where you are staying, plus a charging cable so you can plug in overnight. A full charge should get you about 55 miles, which is more than a day of running around town. Bring your license and proof of insurance and you are set.

What can I add to my rental?

A few extras to make the weekend more fun. We rent Yeti coolers so the drinks stay cold on the river, giant Jenga for the dock or the driveway, and cornhole boards for a full set to go with the cart. Add any of them when you book and we have them ready at delivery. Some extras can also be rented on their own with no cart on the extras page. No rental agreement is needed for an extras-only rental.

How far will a golf cart go on one charge?

About 55 miles on a full charge. In a town where nothing is more than a few minutes away, that covers the boat ramp, lunch, a bait run and back with room to spare. Plug it in overnight with the cable we leave you and you start every morning full.

Do you require a deposit to rent a golf cart?

No. You pay in full when you book, and there is no separate damage deposit. Cancel at least 48 hours before your rental starts and we refund the full purchase price. You are still responsible for the cart while you have it, under the terms of your rental agreement.

How old do you have to be to rent a golf cart in Welaka?

Twenty-one. Every driver must be 21 or older with a valid driver license and proof of their own auto insurance, and every driver goes on the rental agreement. Florida law would allow a younger licensed operator on a low-speed vehicle. Our rental terms do not.

Can I drive the cart to Palatka, Crescent City or St. Augustine?

No. A street-legal LSV may only travel on roads posted at 35 mph or less, and every route out of Welaka includes faster stretches, so a cart stays in the town it was delivered to. Call (386) 603-0295 and we will confirm whether we can bring one to you instead.
