A week costs less per day than a weekend. Our minimum is two days, and at seven days you take 10% off the whole booking, which drops a 4-seater from $80 a day to $72. Whether that is worth it depends on how long you are actually here, so here is the math instead of the sales pitch.
The numbers
| Days | 4-seater | Per day | 6-seater | Per day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 (minimum) | $160 | $80 | $190 | $95 |
| 3 | $240 | $80 | $285 | $95 |
| 4 | $320 | $80 | $380 | $95 |
| 5 | $400 | $80 | $475 | $95 |
| 6 | $480 | $80 | $570 | $95 |
| 7 (10% off) | $504 | $72 | $598.50 | $85.50 |
| 10 | $720 | $72 | $855 | $85.50 |
| 14 | $1,008 | $72 | $1,197 | $85.50 |
| 28 (maximum) | $2,016 | $72 | $2,394 | $85.50 |
Prices shown are the rental fee, plus taxes.
Look at days six and seven. Six days of a 4-seater is $480. Seven days is $504. The seventh day costs you $24 instead of $80, because the discount applies to the whole booking. If you are already booking six, book seven.
When does the weekly rate make sense?
Any time you are here five days or more. At six days you are $24 away from a seventh day and a lower rate on everything. At five days the discount is still worth checking against your actual arrival and departure times, since a cart sitting in the driveway on your last morning is cheap at $72.
When is a weekend the right call?
Three situations:
You are here two or three nights. A long weekend is a long weekend. Two days at $160 does what you need.
Somebody else is driving anyway. If your group already brought two cars and nobody wants a third vehicle to think about, a short rental covers the fun without the commitment.
You are testing whether you like it. Plenty of people book a weekend, spend it wishing they had the cart for the whole week, and book longer next time. That is a fine way to find out.
Why is there a two-day minimum?
Somebody delivers the cart and somebody collects it, whether you rent for one day or ten. In Welaka that is a short drive. Outside town it is a trailer and a round trip. A two-day minimum makes that work at a price that stays reasonable.
It also matches how people actually use a cart here. One day is barely enough to figure out where everything is.
What about a month?
Twenty-eight days is our maximum, and it is what snowbirds and long-stay guests book. A 4-seater for 28 days runs $2,016, which is $72 a day.
The 28-day cap exists so we can keep the fleet maintained and available through the season. If you need longer, call us at (386) 603-0295 and we will talk about it rather than guess in a blog post.
Does the discount stack with anything?
No. The 10% at seven days is the discount. There is no second one hiding.
Delivery inside Welaka city limits is free at any length. Outside town limits, delivery is arranged by phone and priced then.
What if my plans change?
Cancel at least 48 hours before your rental period begins and you get a full refund with no cancellation fee. Inside that window we are not able to refund.
That matters more on a longer booking. If you are on the fence between five days and seven, book seven and keep an eye on the calendar. Two days of notice is your out.
The short version
Two to four days: book what you need. Five or six days: check the seven-day number, because it is probably close and the rate is better. Seven or more: you are on the weekly rate and the extra days are the cheapest part of the trip.
